100% Human Hair Envy Care Guide
ENVY’s 100% Human Hair wigs are hand-selected for premium quality, texture, and long-lasting beauty; but only if properly cared for.
Before wearing, wash the wig to remove any residual chemicals from processing. Ongoing care includes washing every 8–14 days (or when needed) and using only products made for human hair wigs, avoiding sulfates and harsh chemicals. Dry shampoo can be used between washes, but only on the inside of the cap.
Avoid heat damage, twisting, and sun exposure while drying, and never perm or chemically treat the wig again.
How to wash:
1) DETANGLE
- Gently detangle with a wig brush before washing.
- For wigs with a tight curl, use fingers rather than a brush.
2) SHAMPOO
- Gently wetting the hair with cool water. DO NOT SOAK (it can cause hair to tangle).
- Once thoroughly wet, distribute a small amount of shampoo evenly throughout the hair with your fingers.
- Rinse by holding wig under a gentle stream of cold water until no shampoo or suds remain.
- To avoid tangling, ensure the water flows from the cap to the ends of the hair.
- Pat dry with a towel.
2) CONDITION
- Condition the strands and ends gently (using less at the roots to avoid “flat hair”) and let sit for 2 minutes at least. (For more intense conditioning, you can leave it on overnight.)
- Rinse using same process as shampoo.
- Apply leave-in conditioning spray (OPTIONAL) while damp, to lock in moisture.
5) DRY
- Pat dry with a towel.
- Place on a wig stand and comb gently; using a wide-tooth comb and downward strokes.
- Never begin combing at the top or middle, but rather just above the ends of the hair.
- Do one section at a time, moving upwards (while ALWAYS combing downward). Then allow wig to air dry thoroughly.
